The Callaghan Valley Local Organizing Committee is pleased to offer you the opportunity to become involved with world class events being held in the new 2010 Olympic Venue.

We are inviting local, regional and national sponsors to be part of these events. Sponsorship packages are available for all types and sizes of businesses. The national and international exposure that these events receive will attract the attention of Canadians and the World through multi-media publicity.

The 2008 Nordic Games will be a 15 day festival. The competitions will cover the Canadian National and North American Championship events featuring all four disciplines of Nordic Skiing: Cross Country, Biathlon, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined. The 2009 Nordic Games will run on a similar timetable with the World Cup focus. This is an excellent opportunity to support the athletes in this brand new facility in their road to excellence.

Nordic Skiing has a rich history of exploration, adventure, and healthy living. The sport appreciates and respects nature and the environment. People of all ages and abilities can participate and receive the healthy benefits. The athletes competing in these events are high achievers. They are fantastic role models for young fans and an inspiration all ages to pursue a healthier more productive life. As the baby boomers are aging they find themselves pursuing sports with longevity and health benefits. Cross Country Skiing is experiencing a resurgence as this demographic embraces the benefits of this outdoor recreation.

Where does the money go?

We use the sponsorship dollars that you provide for one purpose: the promotion of Nordic Skiing in the Sea to Sky Region, British Columbia and Canada. We have costs to house the athletes, coaches and officials during the festivals. We have transportation costs, volunteer clothing and food considerations and so on. If there is money left over, we have a mandate to contribute to the sustainability of Nordic Skiing by providing support for athletic facilities and programs in the Sea to Sky Region.

Simply: It's to promote healthy active lifestyle for children and to create legacy of Nordic Skiing for the Sea to Sky community!

What sponsorship opportunities can we offer you?

The world will be watching these ambitious athletes compete for the first time in this sophisticated facility. This will be a rare opportunity to preview the best athletes in the world competing for the first time in the Olympic designed facility.
