Childhood and Family: I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. I started downhill skiing when I was 18 months old and have been doing it ever since. I started in the sport of tumbling in 1993 and competed in that sport from 1994 to 2001 competing nationally and internationally. I represented Canada at the World Age Groups in Odense, Denmark in 2001 for tumbling, placing 10th. Both parents are very supportive of my sport and academic goals. I have one sister, and a dog.

Ski Jumping Career: I started Ski Jumping at the age of 6 in a multi-sport camp at Canada Olympic Park and really enjoyed ski jumping. I competed in my first World Junior Championships in 2001 and have competed in this competition every year since. The first World Cup that I attended was in Willingen, Germany, with a crowd of 40,000 to 50,000. Since then I have been progressing on the world circuits, representing Canada in the 2006 Olympics in Torino, Italy, the 2005 and 2007 World Championships in Oberstdorf, Germany and Sapporo, Japan respectively. I scored my first World Ranking List points in Hakuba, Japan during the 2007 Summer Grand Prix circuit, placing 16th twice.

Hobbies: Flying, skiing, water skiing, biking

Sport Hero: Lance Armstrong he was able to succeed even after battling cancer; this shows the determination that I wish to have.

Best Ski Jumping Moment: Representing Canada at the 2006 Olympics in Torino, as I was part of the first Canadian team since 1992 and because it has been a lifelong goal to compete at the Olympics.

Future Plans: Podium at the 2010 Olympics and become a pilot.

Lessons Learned from Ski Jumping: Small changes can make a big difference

Current World Ranking: 75th
