Callaghan Valley
Approximately 50 kilometers of trails to be completed by fall 2007 await you in the Callaghan Valley.Breathtaking scenery grace the pristine and protected valley ensuring a consistent snow belt, ideal for competition and recreation.
The Callaghan Valley is nestled between the City of Vancouver, host to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Resort Municipality of Whistler, the home of legendary world-class alpine skiing with all the amenities of a luxurious resort town.
Visitors to the Sea to Sky Corridor can explore four distinct communities. There is something special for every visitor, athlete and budget between Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton, all within a short drive from the Callaghan Valley and the 2008 and 2009 Nordic competitions.
We look forward to hosting all competitors, coaches, officials, spectators, family and friends in the Callaghan Valley in 2008 and 2009.
The Nordic Sport Competition Events 2008 & 2009
The Callaghan Valley Local Organizing Committee is proud to help organize Nordic sport competition events for 2008 and 2009 in the newly constructed, state of the art Whistler Olympic Park ( www.whistlernordicpark.com ) Over 10,000 athletes, coaches and officials will come to the Sea to Sky Region to compete for the right to be considered the best in their sport in Canada and the World. The athletes compete for their dream of returning to the Callaghan Valley to represent their country in 2010 for the Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games. What's Being Said
"I would like to thank all of the volunteers from CALOC and all of the people of Squamish for their hospitality during the North American Ski Jumping Competitions. Your ability to work with the Canadian Ski Jumping officials made our events a great success and we look forward to working with everyone in the Callahan Valley in the near future."
