Callaghan Valley
Approximately 50 kilometers of trails to be completed by fall 2007 await you in the Callaghan Valley.Breathtaking scenery grace the pristine and protected valley ensuring a consistent snow belt, ideal for competition and recreation.
The Callaghan Valley is nestled between the City of Vancouver, host to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Resort Municipality of Whistler, the home of legendary world-class alpine skiing with all the amenities of a luxurious resort town.
Visitors to the Sea to Sky Corridor can explore four distinct communities. There is something special for every visitor, athlete and budget between Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton, all within a short drive from the Callaghan Valley and the 2008 and 2009 Nordic competitions.
We look forward to hosting all competitors, coaches, officials, spectators, family and friends in the Callaghan Valley in 2008 and 2009.
What's Being Said
"These first events staged on the ski jumps at Whistler Olympic Park also provided volunteers from Nordic Combined Ski Canada (NCSC), Ski Jumping Canada and the Callaghan Valley Local Organizing Committee (CALOC) with the opportunity to work together and share best practices. The expertise gained by volunteers from events such as these and others in the coming years, will greatly contribute to the success of the 2010 Winter Games."
John Heilig
Manager for Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined with VANOC
