Callaghan Backcountry Lodge

Description
With our staging area located just 25 minutes from the village of Whistler, we are Whistler's only backcountry lodge. Our base area is directly adjacent to the brand new Callaghan Valley Nordic Centre - venue for all of the Nordic and Ski Jumping events for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The lodge itself is situated 12.5 km from our main staging area in an incredibly pristine and scenic subalpine valley. Access to the lodge is via snowmobile, snow coach, helicopter, or ski-in.

Our well-appointed lodge is quite comfortable. It is not luxurious, but it features a full commercial kitchen, dining room, lounge area (complete with a fire place and a pool / ping pong table), and 8 private bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have twin beds, and we also have 3 pull-out couches, so there will be no trouble accommodating a group of up to 13 single people. We also have space in our guides loft for up to 3 instructors.

With the incredible variety of terrain, the lodge is an ideal venue for all sorts of backcountry training programs!
